Thanks to the presence of marine plants, the ocean releases more oxygen into the atmosphere than all the forests in the world.

But 80% of aquatic pollution is of land origin.

8 million tons of waste are dumped into the oceans each year.

Today, in the oceans, there is one piece of plastic waste for every 5 fish.

If we do not act, in 30 years, there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans!

Protecting the blue lung of the Mediterranean

In 2024, Thalgo joined forces with Fondation de la Mer, and committed to collaborate in the preservation of the Mediterranean's vital marine ecosystem, also known as the blue lung.

As a brand, we are actively participating in an extensive initiative to restore the Mediterranean's Posidonia meadows - critical ecosystems that act as a major source of oxygen and a powerful carbon sink, with a capacity eight times greater than that of forests.

Unfortunately, these vital meadows are under threat from human activities, and over the past 100 years, 10% have been destroyed.
